Turfrey scope of works included Metal Roofing, Wall Cladding and Rainwater Services. The new purpose built premises for Viridian Glass was built on a greenfield site located on Railway Road in Palmerston North. Construction started in May 2015 and the building was complete, ready for tenants to move in only 15 weeks later. This was an extremely tight programme and the project was completed on time, without sacrificing quality. The building is split into two distinct sections with function and form being the driving force behind the final look. At the rear is a 650m2 warehouse, which consists of an insitu concrete floor, precast panels, lightweight steel structure, metal roofing/cladding and a gantry crane. The front is a 100m2 office that is wrapped in glass, which is undoubtedly the feature of the building and highlights the tenants main business. All parties were really pleased with the outcome of the finished product, which is a credit to all involved.
