For Fonterra Pahiatua A new 16T milk powder drier at the existing Fonterra site in Pahiatua, Manawatu. The drier building is 41m high and constructed of precast concrete wall panels with insitu columns, and a steel plate roof. n a world first, the main drier building is to be base isolated using seismic isolation bearings. Not only does this help control design loads on the building in this active seismic region, base isolation provides enhanced asset protection for this key plant. Turfrey scope includes Metal Roofing and Wall Cladding to Dryer and Evaporator Building, Wet Process, Services Corridor, Steel Access Stairs, Powder and Packing Room, Daystore and Admin Building. Turfrey are also contracted for the plumbing works to amenities and drystore.
