Project Description

Turfrey carried out Hydraulic Services and compressed air works to the extensive Alliance Meat Plant, Levin upgrade.

Completed in two stages in 2008 and 2009, this meat works project for national brand Alliance involved the extension and redevelopment of the existing facility in Levin. The first stage of the project included new blast freezers, an extension to the existing lamb cutting room, a smaller extension to the beef cutting room, a new engine room for the whole site, environmental loadout area, and 5,500m2 of site works. The new buildings, with a total floor area of 2,600m2, are steel framed on reinforced concrete slab on grade, and clad with EPS walls and lightweight metal roofing.
